What about Australia would make you think people 'hate freedom'. I think it's a society probably encumbered with more pervasive social norms than the US, though not as much as Europe. But I think it's a relatively permissive and free society.

I don’t think I want to keep answering perfectly legitimate anonymous questions on this blog. I think the people who read it deserve better.

The ‘hating freedom’ bit is a joke, by the way, and don’t forget that freedom means civil and economic liberties. We’re not doing too great on either front.
